Restaurants, shops, malls, cinema halls, banks and IT firms in the country can now remain open 24/7 for 365 days. The Cabinet on Wednesday passed the new Model Shops and Establishments (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of services) Act 2015 in this regard. Any firm with over 10 employees comes under this act. This comes soon after the hike in salaries of the central govt employees.
